The mighty Ullswater Lake, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery to its south, softening to the gentle hills of the north. The lake is the second largest in England at seven and a half miles long, but is less than a mile across. Located at the Pooley Bridge end, this is the largest venue for SUPBIKERUN with an amazing campsite (Friday & Saturday) and direct access to a majestic mountain bike route and beautiful road cycling option.
All participants will have access to free SUP lessons and land based workshops on the Saturday including SUP Beginner, SUP Masterclass, and SUP Yoga. These lessons are not compulsory but on offer for those participants that are joining us for the weekend. The lessons will run from 9am – 2pm and your friends and family can purchase a water access pass if they would like lessons.

The Lakes mountain bike route at just over 15km includes in our opinion one of the finest downhill trails in the UK. From the main venue you’ll head out on quiet country lanes as you climb up towards Ridding How. As you break out onto the fells, it’s one last push before you hit the summit of your climb on the old Roman Road. We’ve planned this route to be accessible for all riders, nothing too technical, and a route that will not unnerve the MTB novice, yet still excite the pro riders out there. The Ullswater Way is just over 3km of downhill with the most breathtaking views across Ullswater and to the mountain ranges in the south. It’s then back along the lake edge road to complete your 15km, Long distance riders will head around to complete a 2nd lap with just over 30km and 524m of ascent.
